Reunion Information
** UPDATE AND DATE CHANGE**
Final dates are 24-27 October, 2024.
The reunion for 2024 is booked at the Four Points By Sheraton Virginia Beach Oceanfront. This hotel
offers very nice Oceanfront Suites for a great price, a hospitality room on the 4th floor, stocked
as we please, and many other perks, such as it is HUGE.
Reservations can now be made by calling the hotel directly at (757)425-9000 at $120/night.
Be sure to ask for the USS Yarnell/USS Aylwin Reunion rate. You can view the hotels information at
the link above.
We will as usual have music, raffles, tours, giveaways, tshirts & silent auctions,
and other memorabilia such as hats for sale.

Thursday
Noon: Hospitality Suite Opens for Registration, Membership Drive, Raffle Sales begin
630pm: Pizza and Subs
8PM: Liberty Call. Bar Hop the Oceanfront. Lots of stuff available locally; Music Bingo, Trivia,
Karaoke, Etc. Ask Glenn for details
Friday
7-9am: Breakfast for the crew. (See note below)
Golf and Redwind, Tee Times TBD
Noon: Hospitality Suite Opens for Registration, Membership Drive, Raffle Sales
630pm: Subs, Salad, Wings
7pm: Fun and Games. Know your ship Trivia.
8pm: Begin Table O Treasures raffles and Sea Stories
Saturday
7-9am: Breakfast for the crew. (See note below)
Golf and Redwind, Tee Times TBD
Morningish: Self-guided tour off Norfolk. Meet up at Circuit Social at 258 Granby Street. Play
free video games, bowling, pinball, etc. 48 tap beer wall opens at 11am (costs money), beer,
wine, sangria 25% discounted for our people. Circuit Social opens up to the public at 1pm.
Hungover? Walk next door to Hair of the Dog to feel better. Once done, begin self-guided tour
of Norfolk. Everything is within 3 blocks: Nauticus, Wisconsin, Waterside, MacAurthur Mall, etc.
5pm: Social Hour in the Hospitality Suite.
630pm: TBD The Food Committee Ladies Auxiliary is working on it. But it will be awesome!!
7pm: Music by the Jack Becker
7pm: Silent Auction and 50-50 Winners
Sunday
7-9am: Breakfast for the crew. (See note below)
9am: USS Harry E. Yarnell and USS Aylwin Veteran’s Association meeting in the Hospitality
Suite. Discussion Items: Next Reunion, New Officers. Meeting is open to all but not required.
10am: Hospitality Suite closes.
Breakfast is still being worked on, but it’s not going to be like previous years for the free Rise
and Shine breakfast. We may have a continental breakfast on our party suite, maybe $5 off
breakfast in the restaurant. Will know soon.
On July 1st, the regiatration fee will increase to $65.
On September 1st, the registration fee will increase to $80 and be non-refundable.
However, the Reunion Fee is always $50 for Lifetime Members.
Your early registration will help us to plan a fantastic reunion without wasting AVA Funds.
